Ready to Ignite?

For those of you who do not know or have not yet attended, Ignite is a 15 minute meeting every sunday night from 6:20 to 6:35 before Our Evening service here at True North Church. It is open for those in their teens or twenties and is a passionate time of prayer and Leadership teaching. Anyone coming for the very first time will probably be surprised by the passion and intensity packed into such a short time…. But thats how we like it, we love to stretch our leaders and build something with an excitement and buzz over what God is doing in our community. Our Goal for the summer is to double our current average attendance of Ignite. We want to see our youth and young adults step up and step into the life of leadership that they were created for.

I thought would share a few snippets of some of the leadership “nuggets” that Myself or other leaders in the church have taught on in the Ignite meetings… feel free to steal them to use and make yourself sound smart…

——————————————————————————————————

“Don’t just go where the path leads, go where God is leading you… even if there is no path and leave a trail.”

“People follow Passion… that can be a good thing or a bad thing… but still the truth either way.”

“We want society to reflect the church… not the other way around…”

“God has created each of you to live as the head and not the tail… the person who influences those around them to live for christ.”

“Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality…no matter the cost.”

A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but where they should be.

“You are not just the future leaders of the church… you have the potential to be leaders now… lead in committment, generosity, passion and service. If you are breathing… then it is your turn to lead.”

“Where you came from matters much less then where God is taking you and where you are willing to let him take you.”

“He’s got the whole world in his hands”…(Okay maybe this one wasn’t so epic)
