The Plans… | The Update

by Senior Ps. Erich & Joanne Eisenhart

Hey Church!

What a great weekend we had at all of our Easter services. To all of you that served, a big thank you. The success of our church is not in the strength of one but in the strengths of each part.

I was reading one of my favorite verses today, Jeremiah 29:11. “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'” This is a great verse, but to read about the what, the when, and the where of this promise makes it even more meaningful. The Israelites were captives in Babylon and God told them these five things through Jeremiah:

1. To live life to the full; even though you’re in Babylon, build houses and have children.

2. Seek peace and the Lord will prosper you.

3. Pray for the city, which would include friends, neighbors, undesirables and yes, its leaders.

4. Don’t listen to false prophets, that is, anyone that gives you a wrong word concerning your life. Be careful to whom and to what you listen.

5. Hang on to God’s promises which are His plans and purpose for your life. Even when you’re in a tough place like the Israelites, God will bless and prosper you.

The Bible is full of promises. Don’t let the naysayers convince you otherwise. See you all in church this week, and come expecting great things to happen!
