Time to Start Increasing | The Update

by Senior Ps. Erich & Joanne Eisenhart

Hey Church!

And my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

What are your needs? That’s a good question; everyone has different needs. There are basic needs we all have in life such as food, clothing and shelter, as well as relationships with other people. So is it wrong to pray that your needs are met? Absolutely not! I believe that God will provide these things to you. However, some of our greatest needs and desires don’t just happen overnight, even though they are promised. Remember when God brought the Israelites out of Egypt into the land He promised, a land in which they needed to grow and prosper, but it didn’t happen overnight? Why? Because they weren’t ready to take the whole thing at once.

Exodus 23:30 explains it this way, “Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.”

So maybe the reason not all of our needs are met has something to do with our increasing. Just a thought. I would challenge you to increase in God this week by reading His word, spending time in prayer, being consistent in His house, and sharing your testimony. They would all be a good place to start!

God bless you all!
