Expect Favor | The Update

By Senior Ps. Erich & Joanne Eisenhart

Hey Church!

This past Sunday I spoke on “Thinking Like God Thinks.” At first it sounds like a cute little sermon topic, but when you really think about it, it’s much more. This week I would challenge you to begin to live out the principles we talked about. They are: you are approved, be joyful always, declare blessings, focus on the future, live to give, let God defend you, and expect favor. I really believe in all of them, but I want you to focus on “expecting favor.” That’s really a hard one for most of us believers. To expect God to bless you may seem a little childish and even a bit selfish, but remember Psalm 84:11, “The Lord bestows favor and honor, no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”

We walk in favor not because of who we are, but because of whose we are! Start off each day in thankfulness for whose you are and the blessings the Lord has given you.

If you missed last Sunday, we experienced God’s favor in all of our services with decisions for Christ and God’s blessing poured out on us.

See you all this Sunday!
